Reporting spoof (fake) emails【成りすまし（偽）メールを報告する】
Spoof emails are deceptive emails claiming to be sent by well-known companies, such as eBay. The people who send these emails hope that you'll reply or click a link in the email and provide confidential information, such as your eBay password, Social Security Number, or credit card number.
 
成りすましメールは詐欺的なメールでeBayといったよく知られた会社を名乗って送られてきます。このようなメールを送ってくる人はあなたが返信するかもしくはメール内にあるリンクをクリックし、あなたのeBayパスワード、社会保障番号、もしくはクレジットカード番号といった極秘情報を提供してくれることを願っています。
The easiest way to identify whether an email is really from us is to check your eBay messages. Click here to sign into My eBay. Then, click the Messages tab to view your messages.

If you receive suspicious email, here's how to report it to us:

  1. Don't click any links in the email.

  2. Forward the message to us at spoof@ebay.com.

  3. We'll notify you that we received the spoof email.
 

もしあなたが疑わしいメールを受け取ったら、次のようにして当社に報告することができます：

If you receive suspicious email that appears to come from PayPal, forward it to spoof@paypal.com.

To help us investigate the source of the email, follow these tips:

  • Don't alter the subject line or forward the message as an attachment.

  • In some cases, we might ask you to help us track the source of the email by sending us the email header. Learn how to locate and send the email header.
