You can track and update the status of items you're buying and selling in My eBay. If you pay for your item using PayPal, or the seller marks the item as "Payment Received," the item's status will show as "Payment Sent." However, if you used another payment method, My eBay won’t reflect the payment.

As a buyer, you can mark an item as paid using these steps:

1. In the left column of My eBay, click the "Won" link under All Buying.
   
   
2. In the "Items I've Won" section, click the icon in the Action column for the item you want to mark as paid.
   
   
3. Click the down arrow next to the Pay Now button.
   
   
4. From the list, select Mark as Payment Sent. The $ icon turns blue, showing that payment was made.

Manually marking the item as paid doesn't notify the seller that you've paid. However, as long as the seller acknowledges receiving payment, your part of the transaction is complete.

As a seller, you can mark an item as shipped using these steps:

1. In left column of My eBay, click the "Sold" link under All Selling.
2. In the "Items I've Sold" section, click the icon in the Action column for the item you want to mark as shipped.
3. From the list, select Mark as Shipped.
